Action ¨Letter to Woman¨
Center of Legal Assistance for Women Zenica on Friday 28.09.2012. realized the action that addresses the problem of male violence against women in family and intimate relationships.
Action "LETTER TO WOMAN" has educational caracter and contains general information about violence, types of violence, as well as forms of assistance and support to women if they are to violence or at risk of violence.
Twenty volunteers during one day handed over 700 letters to women.
The target groups were women aged 19-70 years who live in the rural local communities in the Municipality of Zenica (Babaino-Jasika, Jurjevic, Drugavci, Kovacici,Lijeske and Vranovići;Nemila-Dedic polje,Gračun, Orahovička rijeka, Loznik;Koprivna-Gladovići, Koprivna and Ponirak; Drivuša and Janjići).
The objective of this action is to empower women to recognize domestic violence and violence in intimate relationships as well as raising awareness of the forms of assistance and support.
We hope that this will help women to recognize the violence and to seek help from any of the institutions or NGOs that are in the system of care.
The tragic events that have recently repeated in our city show that we all have to participate in the changes that will make our city a safer and more peaceful place for living. Individually we can not do much, but together, each in its own area, we can do much more, more efficient and longer lasting.
Photographs from the event can be rewieved in the Photo gallery entitled Action ¨Letter to Women¨.
