Today in Sarajevo we organized a Roundtable “Good Practices, Obstacles and Shortcomings in the System of Protection of Women and Girls from Violence – the Situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina”. One of the goals was to introduce the professional public with research findings and recommendations for the effective prevention, protection and prosecution of violence against women and domestic violence. The response and participation of relevant institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina in creating recommendations for improving the situation of women survivors of violence has once again confirmed the fact that there is still much work to be done to achieve concrete changes.
The Research is realised as part of the EU-UN Women regional programme on ending violence against women in the Western Balkans and Turkey, “Implementing Norms, Changing Minds”, 2017-2020.
